Sania out of women's doubles

Indian ace Sania Mirza [ Images ], who reached the third round of the women's singles on Wednesday, suffered an early exit in the US Open [ Images ] women's doubles at the Flushing Meadows, New York on Thursday.

Sania and Bryanne Stewart of Australia [ Images ] lost 6-2, 6-4 to Emilie Loit (France [ Images ]) and Nicole Pratt (Australia) in the first round.

The 18-year-old will play her third round against Marion Bartoli [ Images ] of France.
