Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic entered the doubles final of the Madrid Masters tennis tournament, shocking fourth seeds Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro in the semi-finals on Saturday.
The unseeded Indo-Serbian pair won 7-6(5), 7-5 and set up a meeting with Mark Knowles and Daniel Nestor, who got the better of Kevin Black and Wayne Ullyett 6-4, 7-3(3) in the other semi-final.
Paes and Zimonjic, who had beaten Mahesh Bhupathi and Martin Damm of the Czech Republic on Friday considerably improved their chances of qualifying for the season-ending Maters Cup in Shanghai. The pair is currently sixth in the ATP Doubles Race.
