Indian coach Rajinder Singh (Jr) blamed the forwards saying they did not played in cohesion during the side's stunning 1-4 loss against Malaysia in the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

"Everything went wrong for us, we could not convert the two penalty corners and our forwards lacked cohesion amongst themselves," Rajinder said after the match.

The coach said India allowed Malaysia to run away with the match with some below par game in the second half.

"We left plenty of open midfield space for Malaysia to capitalise. I could not beleive it's the same team of the first half", he said.

India, who still have to play Korea, Pakistan and Australia, have a remote chance of making a podium finish after today's defeat.

They have a rest day on Monday and Rajinder said though Korea was playing well, his team had the capability to beat the Asian Games gold medallists on Tuesday.
