Ibrebru earns Salgaocar sixth place

Felix Ibrebru's goals late in the match gave Salgaocar a 2-0 victory over JCT Mills in their concluding match in the National Football League in Margao, Goa [ Images ], on Wednesday.

The Nigerian striker scored in the 78th and 84th minutes to enable the Goa side finish sixth in the league.

Salgaocar finished with 28 points, the same a JCT, but placed a rung above the Phagwara side because of a better goal difference of +2.

The Goa side had 26 goals for and 24 against, while JCT had 19 goals for and against, a zero goal difference.

For his efforts, Ibrebru was adjudged the man of the match.
