It will be a dream come true for India's up and coming driver Karun Chandhok when he takes to the street circuit of Monaco in the third round of 'World Series by Renault' Championship on Sunday, just before compatriot Narain Karthikeyan races in the F1 Grand Prix on the same track.
"I am so excited about going to Monaco this weekend and racing around there. I have been watching videos of the Monaco Grand Prix ever since I was four or five-year-old and I've always dreamt of driving around there," Chandhok said.
The Chennai-based lad described it as the highlight of his career.
"It's going to be special feeling driving past the harbour and the famous casino and for sure this is a highlight of my career."
The 21-year-old, however, said he was realistic about his chances given that he had never driven a big car on a street circuit.
"The only street race I've done was in formula Asia at Macau and that was a long time ago so I am being realistic about it. If we can get in the top 10 I'll be very happy," he said.
"We only have half an hour of practice before qualifying so that is going to make life very hard indeed," he added.
