India's Mahesh Bhupathi and Todd Woodbridge of Australia saw their challenge in the 2.1 million Euro ATP Masters event in Hamburg come to a tame end when they were beaten in straight sets in the quarterfinals.
The fifth seed Indo-Australian pair went down against second seed Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Max Mirnyi of Belarus 2-6, 3-6.
Bjorkman and Mirnyi now await the winner of the other quarterfinal between Australian pair of Wayne Arthurs/Paul Hanley and Mario Ancic/Ivan Ljubicic of Crotia.
The sixth seeded pair of Leander Paes and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia-Montenegro received a bye in the first round and would meet German wild card entrants Nicolas Kiefer and Alexander Waske.
