India completed a clean sweep against China in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Group I tie in Delhi on Sunday after Harsh Mankad beat Lu Hao 6-2, 6-3 in the second reverse singles.

Earlier, Prakash Amritraj gave India a 4-0 lead when he beat Sun Peng 6-2, 6-4 in the first reverse singles of the dead rubber.

On Saturday, India had taken an unassailable 3-0 lead after Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi won the doubles.

The 22-year-old Prakash, who registered his first Davis Cup victory in five appearances on Saturday, kept his momentum going despite the fact that the result of the match was not going to have any bearing on the final outcome.

The son of the legendary Vijay Amritraj, Prakash continued to impress with his serve and volley playing style as he broke Peng in the third and seventh games of the first set and never had a break point against him to take the set 6-2.

The second set was no different as Peng once again struggled to come to terms with the grass court and lost his serve in the third game.

Prakash, who hit seven aces in the match, never came under pressure on any of his service games as he wrapped up the match in just 48 minutes.

India take on the winner of the match between Indonesia and Uzbekistan for a berth in the World Group play-offs.
