Federation Cup champions Dempo failed to live up to expectations as they settled for a goalless draw against Churchill Brothers in their tenth round match in the National Football League at the Nehru stadium in Margao, Goa, on Wednesday.
The draw took Dempo's tally to 21 points from 10 matches, three less than East Bengal, who are sitting pretty with 24 points from 11 matches.
Churchill, who are at the bottom of the table, have seven points from 10 matches.
Dempo's Riston Rodrigues was named man of the match.
