Sania loses in doubles 1st round

Sania Mirza [ Images ] and Anna Chakvetadze [ Images ] of Russia [ Images ] lost in the first round of the ladies doubles event at the Wimbledon [ Images ] Grand Slam Tennis championships in London [ Images ] on Tuesday.

The Indo-Russian pair, which had reached the second round in the French Open [ Images ], were defeated 6-2, 6-1 by Alina Jidkova of Russia and Tatiana Perebiynis of Ukrain.
