Coming up with an impressive show, the Indian athletes won 15 medals including eight gold in an international event for disable athletes -- the DSE 2005 Open Athletics Championship -- in Manchester, England.

Sunil Kumar and Pratap Sinha, both in blind class, led India's charge with a gold and a silver each as the side also claimed five silver and two bronze besides the eight gold, the Paralympic Committee of India said in a release on Sunday.

The committee had sent a 30-member contingent for the event.
