Leander Paes will not play at Wimbledon this year.
The 32-year-old Indian ace will miss the annual grass court championship, which begins in two weeks' time, because of a shoulder injury.
Paes' father Dr Vece Paes said the injury is ''serious'', and will take at-least three to five weeks to heal.
Paes, who has won four titles at The Championships the boys' singles in 1990, men's doubles in 1999 with Mahesh Bhupathi, and the mixed doubles in 1999 and 2003 with Lisa Raymond and Martina Navratilova respectively was troubled by the injury during the second and third sets of the French Open mixed doubles final.
After fine showing in the first set, he was unable to serve properly, and as a result he and partner Martina Navratilova went down 6-3, 3-6, 2-6 to unseeded pair of Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Fabrice Santoro of France.
