Neha Uberoi, who represents the United States, and her sister Shikha, who plays under the Indian flag, went out in the final qualifying round of the women's doubles in the US $170,000 WTA tournament in Cincinnati, USA.
The Neha-Shikha pair went down 7-9 to Sybille Bammer of Austria and Jewel Peterson of the United States.
Neha also went out in the final round of the singles event, losing to Bammer 1-6, 6-7 (7/9).
Earlier, she got the better of Shikha in the second round, winning 7-6 (7/2), 6-0.
Sania Mirza opens her campaign later on Tuesday against seventh seed Anna-Lena Groenefeld of Germany.
