It will be a trip down the memory lane for former 1980 All England badminton champion Prakash Padukone when he catches up with some past stalwarts of the sport at a `reunion' of legends in Jakarta this weekend.
Some of the finest players of yesteryear are slated to play exhibition matches on July 16, a day before the finals of the Asian Junior badminton championships.
Padukone is pitted against Lie Sumirat of Indonesia, a former Thomas Cup player, in `The Legends Badminton Masters Reunion'.
"Playing is just incidental," Padukone, who is scheduled to leave for the Indonesian capital on Thursday evening.
Padukone said he is looking forward to catching up with players like Morten Frost, Han Jian, Icuk Sugiarto and Rudi Hartano, whom he hasn't met for years.
"Video clippings of old matches are also planned to be shown on the occasion," the badminton legend said.
"It's not a big event; a kind of a get-together...reunion of past stalwarts of the game," Padukone added.
