Delhi Dazzlers scored a 3-1 victory over Bengal Tigers to close the gap with table leaders Chandigarh Dynamos in the Tier II of the Premier Hockey League in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Ajit Pal Singh gave the winners 1-0 lead in the 20th minute, which was neutralised by Manoj Kujur in the fourth and last quarter.
But two goals in a span of four minutes towards the end by Gurucharan Singh (60th) and Gaganpreeth Singh (64th) gave the Delhi side a comfortable victory.
The win took Delhi to the second place in the table with 12 points, three behind leaders Chandigarh, who are on 15 points, having won all their matches so far.
Today's match saw the Delhi side opening the account when Gurucharan passed from the right flank to Ajit Pal into the circle and the latter beat custodian Manoj Singh with a powerful shot.
Bengal Tigers, trailing till the third quarter, pulled themselves back into the game with a goal through Kujur, who converted the team's second penalty-corner.
Stung by the reverse, Delhi forced two penalty-corners, which were converted by Gurucharan and Gaganpreeth.
