An injury-time goal by substitute K Koluthugan guided Mahindra United to an exciting 3-2 victory over Vasco in a sixth round match of the ninth National Football League in Margao, Goa, on Monday.
Mahindra, who looked unimpressive in the first half, took the lead in the 43rd minute through Jatin Bist.
Vasco restored parity in injury time of the first half through Sydney Rodrigues.
Sydney gave Vasco the lead in the 57th minute with a 25-yard shot that beat Sandip Nandy to his right.
But Mahindra fought back and equalled through Jatin Bist, who scored with a 40-yard shot in the 70th minute.
Both teams went all out for the winner thereafter and Mahindra found it when substitute Koluthugan netted the ball with a 40-yard shot.
Mahindra have 10 points from five matches while Vasco remain on two points from six matches.
