Prabhjot Singh scored a brace as Sher-e-Jalandhar blanked Bangalore HiFliers 4-0 to keep their title aspiration alive in Tier I of the Premier Hockey League at the Gachibowli hockey complex in Hyderabad on Friday.
Sher-e-Jalandhar gained three points to move to the second spot in the league. The have 11 points from five matches.
Hosts Hyderabad Sultans have 16 points from seven matches while Banglaore Hi-fliers are almost out of contention for the title.
Dilip Thakur drew first blood in the 46th minute before Prabjot Singh (65th and 68th) swelled the lead.
Skipper Gagan Ajit Singh then provided the icing on the cake as he sounded the board in the dying moments of the game.
