Pakistan hockey captain Mohammad Saqlain has been allowed to play in all matches of the Champions Trophy hockey tournament, following the Pakistan Hockey Federation's appeal against his suspension to the jury of appeal of the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
FIH Communications Manager Matthew Slade said, "In response to an appeal by PHF against the three-match ban to the jury of appeal, the ban stands cancelled until the final decision is arrived at."
The PHF had sent its appeal to the International Olympic Committee, challenging the ban on Saqlain.
The Pakistani captain was suspended for three international matches and fined 1,000 euros for allegedly hitting Australian player Craig Victory in the Hamburg Masters in Germany in August.
