India took a 2-0 lead over Uzbekistan in the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania second round tie in Jaipur on Friday after winning both the opening singles at the Jai Club courts.
In the first singles, Leander Paes had things his way after a close first set as he beat Farrukh Dustov 7-6 (7-4), 6-2, 6-0.
Later, Prakash Amritraj defeated Denis Istomin 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.
In the doubles on Saturday, Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi take on Istomin and Murad Inoyatov.
The reverse singles will be played on Sunday.
Paes, who nominated himself ahead of Harsh Mankad for the singles won in an hour and 39 minutes.
Earlier, the start of play was delayed by an hour due to wet court conditions caused by heavy rains last evening.
