India retains squad for Uzbek tie

India has retained the same squad, which defeated China for their Asia Ocenia Group I Davis Cup tie, against Uzbekistan to be played at Jaipur from April 29 to May 1.

The team led by Leander Paes would assemble in Jaipur on April 24 while Uzbekistan, who were already in the capital to acclimatise with the hot weather, would also reach the pink city on the same day, the All India Tennis Association said in on Wednesday.

The draw for the second round tie would be held on April 28 at Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's residence.

The winner of the second round tie would qualify for the World Group play offs to be played later this year.

Teams:

India: Leander Paes (captain), Mahesh Bhupathi, Harsh Mankad, Prakash Amritraj, Nandan Bal (coach).

Uzbekistan:  Farrukh Dustov, Denis Istomin, Murad Inoyatov, Akmal Sharipov, Vadim Kutsenko (non playing captain).
