Asian champion Alok Kumar got back to winning ways with an impressive 4-0 victory over Rafal Gorechi of Poland in a Group B league match in the IBSF World Snooker Championships in Veldhoven, Holland on Friday.
Alok thrashed Gorechi 84-20, 69-46, 123-4, 68-31 in the best-of-seven frames match.
On Thursday, had gone down to Steve Mifsud of Australia.
Defending champion Pankaj Advani again proved his class, beating Australia's Steve Ebejer in straight frames in Group F. The Indian dominated the proceedings all through against his tough opponent, winning 71-31, 61-50, 88-9 75-46.
Indian National champion Manan Chandra also won his Group C match against Ben Farnworth of New Zealand 4-3 after a tough battle that went to the wire. Manan won 85-37, 5-66, 77-49, 21-62, 99-0, 4-79, 109-0.
In Group E, Asian Games gold medallist Rafat Habib went down to Keith R Boon Aun of Singapore 66-44, 31-72, 59-65, 58-48, 65-37, 17-74, 47-60.
In the women's section, Anuja Thakur beat Juli of Singapore 66-17, 66-42, 50-71, 5-59, 15-67 in Group B while Meenal Thakur bowed to Johanna Ho of France 34-62, 46-48, 50-45, 64-37, 28-51 in Group C.
Revanna Umadevi lost to Caty Dehaene of Belgium 2-3 37-61, 93-9, 20-39, 68-57, 27-65 in Group D.
Among the Seniors, former world champion Geet Sethi trounced Benden Cooney of Ireland 94-7, 65-39, 78-9 while BVS Murthy went down to Michael Maguire of Scotland 0-86, 17-64, 53-34.
