Senior chair umpire Nitin Kannamwar has been chosen to officiate at the French Open [ Images ] tennis championships, beginning May 24.

Kannamwar, who has officiated at Grand Slam events during past couple of years, will also officiate at Wimbledon [ Images ] from June 13 along with the youngest brown badge woman umpire in Asia, Payal Jain, and former National-ranked player Ritu Sharma, Maharashtra [ Images ] State Lawn Tennis Association secretary Sharad Kannamwar said on Friday.

Both Nitin and Payal had represented Maharashtra.
