Leander Paes will lead India in the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania Group I match against Japan, to be played at Osaka City Utsubo Tennis Centre, Osaka, Japan, between April 9 and 11.
Doubles ace Mahesh Bhupathi, Prakash Amritraj, Rohan Bopanna and Harsh Mankad are the other members of the team.
Former India Davis Cup ace Nandan Bal is the coach while Dr Vece Pes is the team doctor and Sanjay Singh the trainer.
The tie will be played outdoors on Deco Turf (hard court) & with Dunlop Fort balls.
India had beaten New Zealand in the first round match in Invercargill, New Zealand, in February while Japan got the better of Indonesia.
The last meeting between India and Japan was in February 2003 at Delhi. India won that match 4 -1.
In 2001 India played Japan in Osaka and won 3-2.
