Dietmar Hamann would consider an offer to return to his former club Bayern Munich, the Liverpool midfielder said on Saturday.
Hamann, preparing for Germany's Euro 2004 campaign, told Liverpool's website: "If Bayern should show an interest, I will of course have to think seriously about accepting the offer."
Bayern Munich, who will be coached next season by Felix Magath, have not made a bid for Hamann but the player has underlined his admiration for the Bundesliga side.
"There are only four or five clubs in the world with the calibre of Bayern Munich," he said.
Hamann joined Liverpool in 1999 after signing for Newcastle United from Bayern a year earlier.
