India started on the wrong foot in the wrestling competition as Mukesh Khatri lost 0-6 to his Russian opponent in the Greco-Roman style event on the 11th day of the Olympic Games in Athens on Tuesday.
Khatri was too passive in his 55-kg bout and got docked two points for the transgression against the 30-year-old Gueidar Mamedaliev in the Group 'B' elimination rounds. But the Indian still has a second bout against former world champion Dariusz Jablonski of Poland today that he needs to win to stay in the fray.
