India are one victory away from advancing to the World Group finals after sweeping the group phase in the Asia-Oceania zonal junior Davis Cup tennis competition in Colombo on Wednesday.
Second seeds India drubbed The Philippines 3-0 to top Group 5 and set up a play-off with Thailand, who finished second in Group 3.
Jeevan Nedunchezhian defeated Ralph Kevin Barde 6-1, 6-1 in the first singles before Rupesh Roy downed Miguel Lorenzo 6-2, 6-2 in the second.
Roy then joined hands with Sanam Singh for a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Kevin and Lorenzo to enable India maintain a clean slate.
The Indian trio had beaten Korea 3-0 in their opening match on Tuesday.
Victory over Thailand will put India through to the World Group finals while defeat will see them fight for fifth to eighth placings.
