English tabloids went to town on Sunday with claims that soccer star David Beckham has confessed to his wife about his affair with Rebecca Loos, with a "devastated" Victoria contemplating a "trial separation" from her husband.
The local English tabloid 'News of the World' claimed that the football superstar admitted privately to Victoria: "Yes I did have the affair and I did send Rebecca the texts."
Victoria's friends have reportedly told the taboid that the former 'Spice Girl' "is secretly considering a trial separation."
Beckham has also reportedly begged Victoria to forgive him after two weeks of sex claims with Rebecca Loos and Sarah Marbeck, the tabloid claimed. It also said that "a tearful England captain" has said the scandal was "the greatest mistake of my life".
As the crisis over the star couple deepened, Beckham pleaded with Posh to give him another chance.
Victoria, back at their Hertfordshire mansion last night after celebrating her 30th birthday without her husband in the Swiss Alps, is prepared to stand by him but has warned Beckham that there can be no more claims from other women, saying: "Never, ever, again," the report said.
Quoting a close friend, the tabloid said: "There have been lots of tears -- and not just from Victoria. David may not seem like much ever upsets him but this has really hit him hard. He has been crying like a baby at times."
As fresh claims from Rebecca, 26, and call girl Sarah, 29, have rocked the Beckhams, former Posh Spice Victoria has turned to pals for their support.
The tabloids quoted one of Posh's friends as "despite the public smiles Victoria is hurting. When the scandal first broke she went numb. She went into automatic mode."
"Victoria is usually very strong in an emergency and was determined to put on a public brave face."
"But as the daily revelations continued, they started to take their toll. She is only human after all."
"Now the sheer weight of the accusations are hitting home... more and more each day. She is very upset and feels almost cut adrift."
However, despite the scandal that has driven a wedge between the star couple, the friend added on a hopeful note: "She and David will stick it out together, but she's told him in no uncertain terms she never wants to be put through the mill again."
