Indian Formula 3 driver Karun Chandhok finished 11th in both the races of British Formula 3, held at the Donington Park Circuit.
The races were tests of fire for the 20-year-old, who had to brave strong winds and heavy rains while challenging the veterans on the slippery track.
In the first race, Chandhok made a good start, but had to go into the gravel trap. The rest of the race had Chandhok fighting his way up and finishing 11th.
In the second race too, heavy downpour drenched the track. Making a good start, Chandhok moved up to 6th place at the end of lap one, when ill luck struck again when he was caught out at the fastest part of the circuit along with five other drivers.
"Unfortunately for me, three of the cars ahead also misjudged their braking and I went with them into the gravel trap," Chandhok said.
He eventually rejoined the track to finish 11th.
The next two rounds of the season will be held on April 18 at the Silverstone International Circuit.
