Indian paddlers steamrolled past Pakistan to win the gold medal in the men's table tennis team event at the ninth SAF Games in Islamabad on Friday.
The experienced Indian team, comprising National champion Achanta Sharath Kamal, Soumyadeep Roy and Subhajit Saha, won 3-0.
Kamal took the first match, scoring a 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 victory over Farjad Saif Khan, and Roy made it 2-0 when he thrashed Asim Qureshi 11-5, 11-3, 11-9.
Saha completed the formalities, defeating Kashif Razzaq Sheikh 11-5, 11-5, 13-11.
Yesterday, the Indian women won the team gold, defeating Pakistan by an identical margin.
