India's Anju Bobby George finished a disappointing fifth in the women's long jump at the inaugural World Athletics Final in Monaco on Sunday.

American Grace Upshaw won the bronze medal with a jump of 6.60m. Rublyova Olga of Russia, with 6.57m, finished fourth.

It was a disappointing result by the Indian, who was hoping to better the 6.70 metres she achieved at the World Championships, at the elite Final which featured 33 disciplines spread over two days.

American Chryste Gaines, who turned 33 on Sunday, won the women's 100 metres with a personal best performance of 10.86 seconds. Christine Arron of France finished second, and American Torri Edwards won the bronze.
