Formula One chief Bernie Ecclestone [ Images ] has accepted an invitation from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu [ Images ] to visit Hyderabad during the Afro-Asian Games.

Naidu, who is on a three-day mission in Monza, Italy [ Images ], to woo F1 racing to India [ Images ], met Ecclestone, the owner of the motor racing's elite event, at the Monza racing track on the sidelines of the Italian Grand Prix [ Images ] on Saturday.

"The metting went off well and ended on a positive note. We are satisfied with the outcome," Naidu said after the 45-minute rendezvous with the sport's ringmaster.

Naidu said the fact that the meeting went well beyond the original 10-minute schedule was a pointer to the mission's success.
