Title-holders East Bengal stumbled yet again, finishing 2-2 with Everready Association in the Super Six phase of the Kolkata Super Division football league on Wednesday.
East Bengal, who drew with Mohun Bagan before losing to Mohammedan Sporting on Sunday, now have two points from three encounters in the Super Six stage.
They have 35 points from 14 games while Bagan have 32 from 13.
East Bengal went ahead twice, but their lead was short-lived on both occasions as Suley Musah and Mike Okoro's strikes were immediately neutralised by Everready's Eugene Gray and Ernest Jeremiah.
The fancied outfit went ahead in the 40th minute of the first-half, as a Chandan Das free-kick was headed into the corner of the net by Musah.
But Everready restored parity only four minutes later, when Satyajit Bose's free-kick from outside the rival box deflected off the wall and Gray scored with a low header.
Five minutes from close, a combined Musah-Okoro move saw the latter latch on to the ball on top of the opponent's box and then unleash a power-packed shot which entered the net.
Three minutes later, following a faulty clearance by Suresh, Jeremiah, lurking nearby, banged home to make the scoreline 2-2.
In another match, Mohammedan Sporting defeated Mohammedan AC 1-0, with John Ugwo finding the target in the 22nd minute.
