A record number of Indians figure in the new International Tennis Federation Junior rankings
The boys' section is headed by 17-year-old Karan Rastogi, who is ranked 24th among 48 boys.
Rastogi recently performed very well at the Oska Mayor's World Super Junior Championships. He lost to World No. 1 Marcos Bhagdatis (who is also ranked 210 in ATP) after being three match-points up in the semi-finals.

His partner, Prakash, is ranked 21.
Karan Rastogi and Somdev Varman are ranked at 11 and 14 respectively. Rupesh Roy, who won both the events at Pakistan recently, jumped up 100 spots to 191.
In the girls' category, the results are equally encouraging. Sania Mirza heads the list and is raked ranked No. 32 in singles & No. 2 in doubles.
Fifteen-year-olds Sanaa Bhambri and Tara Iyer are ranked 51 and 83 respectively in the singles. The French Open girls' doubles semi-finalist Bhambri is ranked No. 19 in doubles.
