Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi advanced to the semi-finals of the one million dollar ATP tennis event in Moscow.
The top seeds defeated the wildcard Russian pair of Denis Golovanov and Andrei Olhovskiy 6-2, 6-1 in a quarter-final match.
They will face the winner of the other quarter-final between fourth seed Frantisk Cermak and Leos Friedl of the Czech Republic and Igor Andreev and Nikolay Davydenko of Russia.
Earlier, playing in their first match after losing the US Open crown last month, the top seeded Indo-Belarussian pair won the first round on Monday, defeating Tomas Cibulec and Pavel Vizner of the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-4.
In the other quarter-final, Irakli Labadze of Georgia and Sargis Sargsian of Armenia upset second seeds Jonas Bjorkman of Sweeden and Mark Knowles of Bahama 7-6(3), 6-2.
In the last quarter-final, third seeds Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe will face Karol Kucera of Slovakia and David Prinosil of Germany.
