The Davis Cup showdown

Australia's tennis players have a proud history but things haven't been going quite so well for them in recent times. They may have won the Davis Cup 26 times, second only to the United States, but they have added just one title to their collection since 1986.

Worse still, they have lost four finals in that time, including the 2000 final to Spain and the 2001 decider to France.

On Friday, they come face to face again with Spain to battle for the crown.
