India's Leander Paes and Martina Navratilova of the United States won their opening match in the mixed doubles at the French Open tennis championships with a degree of comfort on Friday.
The seventh seeds, who won the Australian Open crown in January, cakewalked past the Austrian pair of Patricia Wartusch and Joshua Eagle, winning 6-1, 6-3.
Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Likhovtseva, the No. 3 seeds, are slated to play Tatiana Golovin of France and Mansour Bahrami of Iran later in the day.
Both Paes and Bhupathi had advanced into the second round of the men's doubles on Wednesday.
