Faizal Martins's fine brace enabled Dempo edge past Vasco 2-1 and collect full points in the Group A Under-19 National Football League at the Duler grounds in Mapusa, Goa, on Friday.
Vasco led 1-0 at half-time through Vilas Nakul Morje's goal in the 34th minute.
Dempo fought back in the second-half and Martins scored in the 55th and 72nd minutes to give them victory.
With this win, Dempo moved to second place with four points from two matches.
Vasco lost both their matches and are still to open their account.
Salgaocar lead the table with six points.
After a lull in the first-half, Morje managed to sneak the ball into the net in a goal-mouth melee following a weak clearance by defender Francis Xavier Fernandes.
Vasco had a chance to increase the lead three minutes before the lemon break but Dempo's keeper Rosebud rose to the occasion and tipped the ball over.
The second-half was more enterprising with lot of goalbound moves. Dempo switched defender Faisal Martins upfront and it gave more thrust to their attack. They restored parity when Martins received a loose ball on top of the box and essayed a powerful shot that beat diving keeper Bronson.
Dempo scored the winning goal when Wesley Coutinho, from the right, lobbed the ball into the box for Martins, who placed it past keeper Sequeira to give his team full points.
