Top seed Rupesh Roy of West Bengal and Maharashtra's Aditya Madkekar entered the boys' semi-finals of the Junior National tennis tournament in Hyderabad on Thursday.
In a hard-fought battle, Aditya rallied superbly to defeat Vivek Shokeen of Delhi 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 to make it to the last four while Rupesh had an easy victory against Sumit Prakash Gupta of Uttar Pradesh, winning 6-2, 6-1.
Vishnuvardhan (AP) and Sourab Kohli (Maharashtra) won their quarter-final encounters to complete the semi-finals line-up.
It was an all Andhra Pradesh affair in the girls' section with K Pooja, P Reddy, Poonam Reddy and Sandri Gangotri winning their quarter-final matches in straight sets.
