Fourth seed Isha Lakhani fell by the wayside even as the other seeds cruised without a jerk into the semi-finals of the $5,000 ITF women's circuit second leg tournament at the DLTA Complex in Delhi on Thursday.
In a quarter-final match, that lasted over two hours, Lakhani put a valiant fight before bowing to sixth-seeded teen sensation Ankita Bhambri 3-6, 6-3, 3-6.
Top seed Archana Venkataraman continued her great run, demolishing Korean teenager Jung Yoon Shin 6-0, 6-2.
In another one-sided encounter, fifth seed Shruti Dhawan blew off wild card Madura Ranganathan 6-0, 6-0.
She will take on Bhambri in Friday's semi-finals.
In another straight-set demolition, third seed Liza Periera outwitted Kamini Murugaboopathy 7-6, 7-5 to book a semi-final clash with the top-seeded Venkatraman.
