Rohan Bopanna and Fred Hemmes of The Netherlands went down fighting in the final of the $50,000 Heineken Challenger, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on Saturday.
The Indo-Dutch pair lost to the third seeded South African pair of Rik de Voest and Wesley Moodie 3-6, 6-3, 3-6.
Earlier, they had beaten Amir Hadad and Andy Ram of Isreal 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 in their semi-final match.
The Indian earned 42 points from the tournament, to add to the 122 he already had. The total of 164 will move his ranking to about 260, from the present 321, on the ATP individual doubles rankings.
