Seven Indians, including Davis Cuppers Rohan Bopanna and Harsh Mankad, figure in the men's singles main draw in the $15,000 ITF Futures tennis tournament, to be held at the Dr Ranade Centre in Mumbai, from March 17 to 22.
The other Indians in the main draw are doubles specialist Mustafa Ghouse, national champion Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, former Davis Cupper Nitin Kirtane, Vijay Kannan and Ajay Ramaswamy.
The highest ranked player in the fray is Yeu-Tuoo Wang of Chinese Taipei, at 204. Andres Torre De La of Argentina,
who is ranked 221, Duhmn ogier Wassen (266) and Fred Hemmes (312) are the other top players in the main draw.
Other foreign entries include Pablo-Juan Brzezicki of Argentina, Lukas Dlouhy, Jakub Hasek and Tomas Cakl (all from
the Czech Republic), Englishman David Sherwood, Juraj Hasko of Slovakia, Jasper Smit and Paul Logtens (both from Holland), Baptiste Dupuy of France, Hiroki Kondo of Japan and Alessandro Da Col of Italy.
Indians Vinod Sridhar, Manoj Mahadevan, Prahlad Srinath, Sandeep Kirtane and Rishi Sridhar are in the alternate list
and could make it to the main draw in case of any pull-out from the 32-man main draw which includes four qualifiers and four wild cards.
