India's [ Images ] Leander Paes [ Images ] and David Rikl of Czech Republic made a smooth entry into third round of the men's doubles event at Wimbledon [ Images ] tennis championships with a straight sets victory on Saturday.
Paes and Rikl, the fifth seeds, won 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 against the German duo of Nicolas Kiefer [ Images ] and David Prinosil in a second round match that was suspended yesterday due to poor light after the completion of the first two sets.
Paes and Rikl will take on Giovanni Lapentti and Nicolas Lapentti [ Images ] of Ecuador in the next round. The Lapenttis beat Jordan Kerr of Australia [ Images ] and Sebastien Prieto of Argentina 2-6, 7-6 (7/3), 7-6 (7/3), 6-3 to move into the third round.
Sania Mirza [ Images ] advanced to the second round of the girls' singles with an easy 6-1, 6-1 victory against Alyona Tsutaskova of Ukraine. The 16th seed Mirza will take on Eden Marama of New Zealand [ Images ] in the second round.
