Indian doubles specialist Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Max Mirnyi of Belorussia moved into the second round
of the men's doubles event at Wimbledon with a comfortable straight sets victory against the British pair of James Auckland and Lee Childs on Thursday.
The top seeds won 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 to set up a second round clash with Jiri Novak and Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic.
Novak and Stepanek beat the combination of Amir Hadad of Israel and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi of Pakistan 7-6, 7-5, 7-5 in another first round duel.
