National Football League outfit Tollygunge Agragami formally announced courier company DTDC as their title sponsor for the coming season.
"Our club will be christened DTDC Tollygunge Agragami for the 2003-04 season," Tollygunge Agragami general secretary Montu Ghosh told reporters at a press conference in Kolkata on Tuesday.
DTDC, who had provided financial assistance to the club last season, also announced that they would sponsor two talented under-18 footballers spotted by Tollygunge officials.
"We will bear all their expenses including educational," DTDC chairman-cum-Managing Director Subhasish Chakraborty said.
The club also handed coach Subrata Bhattacharya a one-year contract.
"Though we had earlier named him as coach, he is officially taking charge from today," Ghosh said.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhattacharya, who coached Mohun Bagan to two National Football League titles before being unceremoniously sacked in April, said he would strive to make Tollygunge the numero uno team in whichever tournament they took part.
Tollygunge finished ninth in the National Football League this season.
