India's Leander Paes helped the legendary Martina Navratilova to a record-equalling title at Wimbledon when the duo won the mixed doubles crown on Sunday with a straight sets victory.
The fifth seeded Paes and Navratilova won 6-3, 6-3 against Andy Ram of Israel and Anastassia Rodionova of Russia in theĀ final which gave Navratilova her 20th title at Wimbledon, the same as Billie Jean King.
The 46-year-old Navratilova now has nine singles, seven women's doubles and four mixed doubles titles at Wimbledon while Jean King had won six singles, 10 doubles and four mixed doubles.
Paes and Navratilova earned early breaks in both the sets against their unseeded opponents and cruised home in 61 minutes.
The pair had earlier this year also won the mixed doubles crown at the Australian Open.
