Kolkata Port Trust pulled off the first major upset of the ongoing Kolkata Super Division football league, upstaging formidable Mohammedan Sporting 2-1 on Thursday.
Port Trust took the lead through Pradip Indu, while Rahim Nabi restored parity for Sporting, before Srimanta Das scored the winner in the Salt Lake stadium match.
The talented Indu put Port Trust ahead as early as the eighth minute. Sporting went all out for the equaliser but failed to stage a comeback till the breather.
But eight minutes into the second-half, Nabi headed home following a free-kick, to make the scoreline 1-1.
Towards the close of the second session overlapping Port Trust right-back Srimanta Das headed into the net an Amar Pyne flag-kick to ensure three points for the underdogs.
Sporting, who prevailed over Wari by a solitary goal in their lung-opener, now have three points from two outings.
