Indian tennis aces Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi had mixed fortunes in the Australian Open doubles tournament, in Melbourne, on Wednesday.
The former, partnering David Rikl of the Czech Republic, romped into the second round with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Australia's Paul Hanley and Andrew Kratzmann, while Bhupathi and Joshua Eagle of Australia were beaten by Tomas
Cibulec and David Skoch of the Czech Republic 4-6, 6-4, 4-6.
