26-member team for shotgun World Cup

The National Rifle Association of India [ Images ] has announced a 26-member team for the shotgun World Cup shooting championships and the Asian clay shooting championships to be held in Delhi [ Images ] from March 15 to 27.

About 250 shooters from 40 countries are expected to participate in these competitions.

The World Cup offers three 'quota places' for the 2004 Olympic Games [ Images ] in Athens.

The team:

Trap: Manavjit Singh Sandhu, Mansher Singh, Anwer Sultan, Zoravar Singh, S M Faizal, Ranajit Nobis, Birendeep Sodhi and Ankur Singh.

Double trap: Major R V S Rathore, Moraad Ali Khan, Gaurav Sondhi, Vikram Bhatnagar, Ronjan Sodhi, Dil Bahadur, Asab Ali, and Shagun Chaudhary.

Skeet: Naveen Jindal, Rao Inderjit Singh, Amardeep Singh Rai, Rahoul Rai, Baba P S Bedi, Rajpal Singh Kochhar, Alok Singh, Devesh Rai, Karan Badhwar and Arti Singh Rao.
