British Open champion Joshna Chinnappa will take on Vaidehi Reddy in an all-Indian final in the 11th Asian Junior squash championship in Islamabad.
In the semi-finals, on Wednesday, Chennai girl Joshna upset Hong Kong No. 1 Chan Ho Ling 9-1, 9-2, 7-9, 9-3 while Vaidehi, also from Chennai, defeated another Hong Kong girl, Chiu Ka Kei, 9-4, 9-4, 9-10, 9-3.
Two games up and leading 8-4 in the next, Vaidehi lost the third, but came back strongly in the fourth to steal a place in the final.
This is the first time in the history of Indian squash that two of its players have reached the final of an Asian event.
