Asian Games champion Neelam Jaswant Singh had a miserable performance in the women's discus throw, placing a poor 12th in a field of 13, at the World Athletics Championships in Paris on Monday.
The Indian ace was nowhere near her Asian Games of gold medal-winnng effort of 64.55 metres, which is her personal best, clearing only clear 57.92 metres.
Yatchenko Irina of Belarus won the gold with a season best effort of 67.32 metres.
Kelesidou Anastasia of Greece also posted a season best to take the silver with 67.14 metres while Voggoli Ekaterini, also of Greece, was third with a throw of 66.73 metres.
