Riding on a four-goal haul by Sandeep Singh, India scored a thumping 9-1 victory over hosts Poland to register their fourth win on the trot in the Junior Challenger Open hockey tournament at Ganiezno.
Undefeated so far in the round-robin tournament, the Indian juniors dominated the proceedings right from the start with thier first goal coming as early as the second minute. They led 4-0 at half-time.
The Indians earned four penalty corners and converted all through Sandeep Singh (11th, 31st, 42nd and 62nd minutes).
The other goal scorers for India were Hamza (2nd, 46th), Tushar Khandekar (33rd, 67th) and Nitin Kumar (53rd).
Poland salvaged some pride by scoring a goal in the 51st minute.
This was the only goal India has conceded in this six-nation tournament.
India, enjoying a wonderful run of form, having scored 25 goals in the event so far, will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the final league match, which will decide the winner, later today.
